Qualcomm recently launched the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SOC, the most powerful mid-range chip by Qualcomm. This chip has a CPU clocked at up to 2.9GHz, and compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, there is a 50% upgrade in CPU performance. This chip is so powerful that it beats the Snapdragon 888 or 888+ or the Dimensity 8200 in performance benchmarks. Redmi will be one of the first to launch a phone powered by this chipset & this phone is named the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
The phone has been in the news for quite some time & now, the company has announced the launch date. The phone is launching in China on March 28, that is, in a week. Redmi also gave us our first look at the design & as we can see in the image above, the Note 12 Turbo does not look much different than other phones under the Note 12 series. The only difference is that there is no camera island on the Note 12 Turbo.
The image shows a color option with an ice-like pattern on the rear.
Other design details include a 3.5mm headphone jack on top, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and flat sides. The primary camera has a 64MP sensor, as evident by the “64MP Camera” text on the back.
We do not know the full spec sheet yet, but there are reports that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo could launch as the Poco F5 in the global market. This is not surprising since Poco phones are usually rebrands of Redmi phones.
