It looks like Redmi is not done with the Redmi 9 Series even after launching three back to back devices in India. We already have the Redmi 9A, Redmi 9, and the Redmi 9 Prime in the Indian market & on September 15th, the company will unveil Redmi 9i. While we are yet to know the specs of the device, the pricing has now leaked as it was shared by 91Mobiles.
According to 91Mobiles, the color options for the 9i are the same as for the Redmi 9A, i.e., Sea Blue, Nature Green, and Midnight Black. There are two storage options – 4GB + 64GB & 4GB + 128GB. It is worth mentioning that the Redmi 9A comes with up to 3GB RAM & 32GB storage.
The 4GB + 64GB variant of Redmi 9i is launching in India at Rs 7,999, so instead of going for the 3GB + 32GB variant of Redmi 9A at Rs 7,499, you can spend Rs 500 extra to get the 9i with more RAM & storage. There is no information on the price of the 128GB variant yet.
While there is no information about the specs, we do know that the phone has a Big screen, Big Battery, More Storage, More RAM & MIUI 12, since that’s what the event page of the device on Xiaomi’s website says.
