Realme Narzo 10 & Narzo 10A launched in India

Realme launched two new phones today under its all-new ‘Narzo’ series that the company says is for the ‘Generation-Z’. The two phones are named Realme Narzo 10 & Narzo 10A. If you still don’t know, the two phones are just rebranded Realme 6i & Realme C3 (with triple cameras) respectively. These two phones try to offer the best combination of performance and power in the budget price segment.

REALME NARZO 10A – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS

Realme C3 launched in India in February this year with a starting price of Rs 6,999 & the Narzo 10A isn’t any different in terms of the design. The main difference is that there is a big ‘Realme’ logo on the rear & the phone no longer has the “Sunrise” design that we saw on the Realme C3.

Also, while the Realme C3 for Indian market had dual cameras, the Narzo 10A comes with the triple camera setup. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the rear, something that the C3 lacks.

There is a 6.5-inch HD+ display on the front with a waterdrop notch & a big chin on the bottom. There is Corning Gorilla Glass on top & the display has Night Mode for eye protection. Realme Narzo 10A comes with a huge 5,000mAh battery & it also has Reverse Wired Charging.

It is a shame that this phone still has micro-USB port instead of a Type-C port. Realme’s biggest competitor, Xiaomi, has already ditched the micro-USB port in favour of USB Type-C even for the budget phones.

The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 12-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.25-micron pixel size & Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF). There is a secondary 2 Megapixel macro lens & a third 2 Megapixel depth sensor. So, there isn’t anything special about this camera setup since it is the same camera setup as the Realme C3’s except for the extra macro camera.

On the front, there is a 5 Megapixel camera for selfies.

Realme C3 was the first smartphone to launch with the MediaTek Helio G70 SOC & the same chip powers the Realme Narzo 10A. It is perhaps the best SOC that you would find in phones priced under Rs 10,000. Based on the 12nm process, it comes with an octa-core CPU that has two performance cores (A75) & six efficiency cores (A55). The GPU is the Mali G52.

Narzo 10A comes with 3GB RAM & 32GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot.

Finally, Realme UI based on Android 10 runs out of the box & the color options are “So Blue” and “So White”.

REALME NARZO 10 – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS

Realme Narzo 10 comes with a unique design on the back & this type of design was previously seen on Realme’s “Master Edition” smartphones. This is a design by Naoto Fukasawa, who is a popular Japanese industrial designer & he is the designer behind the designs of Realme’s “Master Edition” smartphones.

Narzo 10 has a Quad camera setup on the back along with the fingerprint scanner, and a display with a Waterdrop notch on the front. Unlike Narzo 10A, there is a USB Type-C port on the Narzo 10.

The Narzo 10 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display on the front with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Well, this might be the biggest con of this device as despite being a phone priced at Rs 12,000, there is an HD+ display instead of an FHD+ panel.

Anyways, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SOC, and as the name shows, it sits between the Helio G70 and Helio G90 in terms of the performance. There is 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. The storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.

There is a Quad camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 48 Megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 Megapixel B&W Portrait Lens and a 2 Megapixel Macro camera. There is a 16 Megapixel selfie shooter.

Like the Narzo 10A, Realme Narzo 10 has a 5,000mAh battery but also supports 18W fast charging, something that the Narzo 10A lacks. The 18W charger comes in the box. Android 10 based Realme UI runs out of the box.
