The Realme GT 6 was launched in China in July last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a big 5,800mAh battery. The phone was launched at a starting price of ¥2799, or around $380. Today, the Realme GT 7 was launched in the Chinese market, and while it is an upgrade, the price is lower than its predecessor.
Design-wise, the Realme GT 7 looks identical to the Realme GT 7 Pro & GT 7 Pro Racing Edition. There is a dual camera setup on the rear and a flat display on the front. The phone is 8.25mm thick and weighs around 203g. The bezels on the front are pretty slim. Realme says the top, left, and right bezels are as slim as 1.3mm. The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 certification. There are stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor.
Speaking of the specifications, the Realme GT 7 has a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and scores over 3 Million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. There is LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage. The phone packs a massive 7,200mAh battery, and there is 100W fast wired charging. The phone has a bypass charging feature to reduce heat when using the phone while charging. There is a large 7700mm² vapor chamber, which Realme claims to be the largest in the smartphone industry.
The display on the front is a 6.8-inch 144Hz BOE Q10 OLED panel with an industry-leading 4608Hz UHF PWM dimming, 6500 nits local peak brightness, and 1800 nits local peak brightness. The phone has an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner.
As for the cameras, the Realme GT 7 has a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture lens. The secondary camera is for ultrawide photos and has an 8MP sensor. The selfie camera has a 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor. The rear camera can shoot 4K videos at up to 60fps, while the front camera is limited to 1080p video recording at up to 60fps.
Finally, the Realme GT 7 runs on Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 out of the box.
