Realme 9i 5G to launch on August 18 with Dimensity 810

The 4G version is available in the market since January

In January this year, Realme 9i launched in the Indian market featuring Snapdragon 680 SOC & a 50MP camera sensor. Currently, the Realme 9 series includes Realme 9i, Realme 9, Realme 9 5G, Realme 9 5G SE, Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9 Pro+. And this month, one more phone is coming to this series named the Realme 9i 5G. As the name suggests, the main USP of this phone is 5G support. It is launching in India on the 18th of August, which means in almost two weeks.

Realme has given us our first look at the design of the Realme 9i 5G, and we can see that there is no longer a camera module for all the cameras on the rear. Instead, each camera is placed separately. The fingerprint reader is embedded in the power button, which is no surprise since we are used to seeing LCD panels on budget 5G phones. Realme calls the back design the ‘Laser Light’ design.

On the official website, Realme also mentions that Dimensity 810 is 20% faster than Dimensity 700, which powers devices such as Redmi Note 10T 5G. Currently, Poco M4 5G is one of the cheapest phones in the market with Dimensity 810 SOC, and it is selling for ₹12,499. Even the company’s Realme 9 is also a Dimensity 810-powered phone, and it starts at ₹15,999. So, it is safe to say that the price of Realme 9i 5G won’t exceed ₹15,000 in the Indian market.

We do not know the other specifications of the phone yet, so stay tuned for those.
