Realme 3 Pro with Snapdragon 710 & VOOC Flash Charge launched

Till now, the Redmi Note 7 Pro was undoubtedly the best phone to recommend under Rs 15,000, but today, Realme 3 Pro launched in India with an impressive spec sheet & an aggressive pricing. So, the competition has become even more interesting in this particular price segment. The price starts at Rs 13,999 & yes, this is the same starting price as that of the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India.

The design of the Realme 3 Pro remains similar to the Realme 3 that was launched in March. So, there is a display with waterdrop notch and a small bottom chin. The back panel is made out of plastic & has a “Le Mans-inspired Speedway Pattern.” There is a vertical dual camera setup & the fingerprint scanner on the rear.

One of the biggest cons of the phone is the micro USB port. We were expecting USB Type-C port like on the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but for some reasons, Realme decided to stick to the micro USB port. Still, Realme compensated this by providing the VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support & 5V/4A adapter in the box which is sweet. Moreover, there is a big 4,045mAh battery underneath.

The phone features a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. So, this is similar to what the Redmi Note 7 Pro has. The screen-to-body ratio is 90.8%. Coming to the processor, Realme 3 Pro comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 AIE SoC which is a 10nm chip featuring clock speeds up to 2.2GHz & has Adreno 616 GPU. There is 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. So, like last year, there is no 8GB variant.

The phone comes with Hyper Boost 2.0 technology which would help in getting the most out of the phone when it comes to the performance.

There are dual cameras on the back that include a primary 16 Megapixel camera with Sony IMX 519 sensor, Dual Pixel AF & f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The primary camera is the same as the one on OnePlus 6T so that’s interesting. Some rear camera features include Nightscape, Portrait Mode, Expert Mode, HDR, Chroma Boost, 64MP Ultra HD Mode, etc.

On the front, the Realme 3 Pro packs a single 25MP f/2.0 camera with features like Portrait Mode, AI Face Unlock, HDR etc. The rear camera can shoot 4K 30FPS videos & 960fps super slow motion videos at 720p. There is EIS for videos as well.

Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie runs out of the box. The 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs 16,999. The first sale starts at 12 noon, 29th April & the phone would be available at Flipkart & Realme India’s official website.
