In December last year, Realme 10 Pro & Pro+ launched in the Indian market. But the vanilla Realme 10 is yet to launch in India. Today, the brand announced the launch date of Realme 10 4G in India. The launch happens on January 9, and in case you missed it, this phone was launched globally two months ago at $229.
Realme India claims this will be the “Most powerful phone in the segment.” The chipset powering this device is the MediaTek Helio G99, and currently, in India, there are some phones with this SOC for around ₹10,000, including the Redmi 11 Prime, which starts at ₹11,999 & the Poco M5 at ₹12,499. So for the Realme 10 4G to be the most powerful phone in its segment, it should be priced lower than these phones.
This sounds even more interesting when you add that Realme 9 4G, the predecessor, launched at ₹17,999 last year.
Realme 10 4G has a 6.4-inch display, a 90Hz Super AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The battery size is 5,000mAH, and the phone supports 33W fast charging.
For photography, there are two rear cameras. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens, and the secondary camera has a 2MP B&W sensor. For comparison, Realme 9 4G had a 108MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide.
For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor. There is a Type-C port on the bottom, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a speaker grill. The fingerprint sensor is on the side.
The pricing is not yet known, but expect the starting price to be around ₹10,999-₹11,999, considering the competition.
