UPDATE – POCO HAS NOW OFFICIALLY REVEALED THAT THE GLOBAL LAUNCH IS TAKING PLACED ON MAY 12TH.

A couple of days back, we got some details related to the Poco F2 Pro via a Gearbest listing, and those details confirmed the fact that the F2 Pro is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro for the global market. Now that Poco has announced its return in the global market, we are waiting for the official word from the brand on the launch date of its upcoming phone.

But, it looks like we don’t have to wait for the official announcement since a source on Twitter revealed that the Poco F2 Pro is launching on May 12th and the launch will take place in Madrid, Spain.

The Poco X2 Pro, which launched in India, didn’t make it to the global market, so it means Poco is going to launch a phone for the first time after 2018 (Poco F1). Also, we don’t yet know if the non-Pro Poco F2 would launch at the event.

Anyways, since we know that Poco F2 Pro is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, the specs are –

  • 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 180Hz touch-response rate (60Hz Refresh Rate)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SOC
  • 4,700mAh battery + 33W Fast Charging
  • Quad Rear Cameras – 64MP IMX686 + 13MP Ultrawide + 2MP Depth + 5MP Telephoto Macro
  • 20 Megapixel pop-up selfie camera

Like the Poco F1, we are expecting the Poco F2 Pro to launch with a super aggressive price tag. The pricing is not yet confirmed so stay tuned for that.
