Oppo Find X5 Pro renders reveal a “not so new” design

The camera module gets a slight redesign

In March this year, Oppo launched the Find X3 Pro, which had a pretty unique design with that raised camera module (even though the camera arrangement seemed inspired by the iPhone). The phone also packed a microscope camera that offered 60X zoom and had its own LED ring to light up the subject upon going extremely close. Now, as we know, most of the Chinese brands avoid naming their phones with the number “4” in the name. This is because, in China, the number “4” is considered unlucky. So, for this reason, it is expected that the successor to the Find X3 Pro is going to be named Find X5 Pro, not the X4 Pro.

Today, we got the unofficial renders of Oppo Find X5 Pro, thanks to @OnLeaks, who shared these renders with Prepp.

These renders reveal that most of the design remains the same as the Find X3 Pro, and the only thing that seems to be new is the camera module design and also the arrangement of the cameras in it. So, there is still a triple camera setup on the rear, but the cameras as laid out differently.

Another thing to note is that this time, the camera module is not a perfect square like the one on Find X3 Pro, maybe to make this phone look different.

On the front, the Oppo Find X5 Pro has a curved display with a hole punch on the top left corner. The same was the case with Find X3 Pro, so there is no difference in the front design. The display size is around 6.7-6.8 inches, so again, that is similar to the predecessor.

Now, since there is no periscope camera as per the renders above, it seems like Oppo is sticking with a microscope camera on the Find X5 Pro. One thing to note here is that there is no LED flash ring around the tiny camera lens, but there is a separate flash module placed alongside it. So, that might be for the same purpose as that LED ring around the Find X3 Pro’s microscope camera.

Well, the specifications are not yet known, but there are still months left for the expected launch in March 2022. So, we will surely get to know more in the coming months. Stay tuned.
