OnePlus Fold (V Fold) – Here’s our first look at the design

Now that's one huge camera module!

It is not a secret that OnePlus is working on foldable devices. Earlier this year, OnePlus trademarked the “V Fold” and “V Flip” monikers that confirmed the same. Today, we got our first look at the foldable phone by OnePlus, thanks to the renders shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with SmartPrix. The OnePlus Fold / OnePlus V Fold is reportedly launching in August.

These renders confirm that the OnePlus Fold is an entirely different phone than Oppo’s foldables since there were rumors of OnePlus rebadging the Oppo’s foldables. The phone features a premium design, including a metal frame with flat sides and a vegan leather finish on the back. There is a huge circular camera module with three sensors. The LED flash is placed separately in the top left corner.

The OnePlus Fold features an alert slider too, and it is placed on the left side. On the right, there are volume rockers, along with the fingerprint scanner/power button. The tablet seemingly has more than two speakers for a better audio experience. The external display has a hole punch cutout in the center, whereas the foldable display has a hole punch cutout in the top left corner.

Well, it is safe to say that OnePlus Fold will have its distinctive identity among all the foldables in the market, thanks to that massive camera module and the alert slider. Moreover, OnePlus is not going for the compact design we saw in the Oppo Find N and Find N2.

The specifications are unknown, but we expect the phone to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SOC.
