One thing that HMD Global is doing the best with Nokia’s Android phones is that it is launching every device under the Android One program which makes them ready to at least the next two major Android updates. Moreover, Nokia is one of the fastest right now to upgrade its phones to the latest Android version.
Today, Google announced that Android Q is officially named Android 10 & Nokia has now shared its roadmap for the Android 10 Update for its phones.
So, Nokia will start rolling out Android 10 Update to some of its phones as early as Q4 2019. So, in the last quarter of 2019, the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1 & Nokia 9 PureView will get the update. Then, in the early Q1 2020, phones like Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus & Nokia 7 Plus will be upgraded to Android 10.
In the mid-Q1 2019, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2 & Nokia 4.2 will get Android Q Update & by the end of Q1 2020, phones including Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus & Nokia 8 Sirocco will receive the update.
In the mid-Q2 2020, Nokia will roll out Android 10 Update for its Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 Nokia 5.1 & even the Nokia 1. So, even the cheapest Nokia phone is getting Android Q Update & that’s impressive.
