No Oppo R19 this year, confirms Brian Shen, OPPO Global Vice President

Oppo F11 Pro is soon going to launch with a pop-up selfie camera, a triple rear camera setup and a bezel-less design. But, when we got the press image of the Oppo F11 Pro recently, there were also rumors that the Oppo R19 would launch with the same design but with the exception being the in-screen fingerprint scanner. Now, Brian Shen, OPPO Global Vice President, has announced on Weibo has there is no R19 coming this year.

It is worth mentioning that the design of ‘R’ series phones from Oppo is considered the blueprint for the design of OnePlus devices. So, there were rumors that the OnePlus 7 would have the same design as the Oppo R19.

Oppo will launch Snapdragon 855 phone this year

Apart from this, Brian also revealed in reply to a comment that there is indeed a phone launching this year from Oppo with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Most probably, this is going to be the successor to Oppo Find X (Find Z maybe!).
