Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to launch with a 7,000mAh battery

Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset!

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion was launched in April last year, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 5,500mAh battery, 68W fast charging support, a 1.5K quad-curved pOLED display, and a premium design. The brand will launch its successor, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, soon. While the launch date is unknown, the key specifications of the phone were shared by Evan Blass on X.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is codenamed ‘Avenger,’ and there are some interesting upgrades this year. First and foremost, the phone gets a massive upgrade in the battery size. There is now a 7,000mAh battery, a big increase from the 5,500mAh battery in the Edge 60 Fusion. The charging speed is the same at 68W.

While Motorola went with a MediaTek chipset last year, the company is using a Snapdragon chipset this year. The Edge 70 Fusion has the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which is quite a surprise since this chipset was launched back in August of 2024. We already have the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which was launched in May last year.

The phone has a 6.78-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED panel with 5200 nits peak brightness, a 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. There is Gorilla Glass 7i protection for the display. The phone is coming with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is a 50MP Sony LYTIA sensor for the primary rear camera and a 32MP sensor for the selfie shooter.

The phone is IP68 and IP69 certified, and the color options include Orient Blue, Sporting Green, Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette.

Finally, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will get three OS updates.
