The Motorola Edge 20 lineup is nowhere. As we knew already, there are three phones under this series named the Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 & the Edge 20 Pro, with the order of price being the same. These are phones under the 2nd generation of the Motorola Edge lineup, which began last year with the Edge & Edge+ smartphones.

Design-wise, all these phones can be recognized by the way their cameras are laid out. So, all these three phones have three rear cameras, but the placement is different. In the case of Edge 20 Lite, there is a square-shaped camera island that resembles the camera module of an iPhone. In the case of Edge 20, there is a tall rectangular camera module. The camera module of Edge 20 Pro is almost the same as that of Edge 20 except for the fact that it has a periscope camera, hence a square-shaped camera lens, instead of a circular camera lens.

These three phones are for three different price segments. The Motorola Edge 20 Lite comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G SOC, the Edge 20 with Snapdragon 778G 5G, and the Edge 20 Pro with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G. Only the Edge 20 Pro comes with LPDDR5 RAM + UFS 3.1 storage, but that is not a surprise since it is the only flagship phone under this series.

Camera-wise, all three phones have a primary 108 Megapixel sensor, but the rest of the cameras are different. The Edge 20 Lite has a second 8 Megapixel ultrawide and a third 2 Megapixel depth sensor. The Edge 20 has a secondary 16 Megapixel ultrawide and a third 8 Megapixel telephoto with 3X Optical Zoom. Finally, the Edge 20 Pro has a secondary 16 Megapixel ultrawide and a third 8 Megapixel periscope camera with 5X Optical Zoom.

Display-wise, all three phones come with a 10-bit OLED panel, but the Edge 20 Lite has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Also, all these phones have high-refresh-rate OLED panels. The Edge 20 Lite comes with a 90Hz OLED, whereas the other two with a 144Hz OLED. HDR10+ support is there for all three phones.

Finally, coming to the battery sizes, Motorola Edge 20 Lite has 5,000mAh, the Edge 20 has 4,000mAh, whereas the Edge 20 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery. All three phones support 30W fast charging.

All the phones run on Android 11 out of the box, and in typical Motorola fashion, it is a pretty clean stock Android experience with a couple of Motorola add-ons.

Speaking of the pricing, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite starts at €349.99, the Edge 20 at €499.99 & the Edge 20 Pro at €699.99. All the phones will soon launch in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The Edge 20 won’t launch in the Middle East, whereas the other two will.
