Moto X4 with 6GB RAM & Android Oreo announced for INR 24,999

Motorola was teasing the new variant of the Moto X4 for past couple of weeks, and today, we finally got to know all the new upgrades that we are going to see in this new variant. As we said in our previous post related to the phone, this new variant will arrive with 6GB RAM, and that’s the only thing which is new. Rest of the specifications like the processor, battery, storage, etc. are all going to be the same which is a disappointment since users were expecting a better processor with more RAM.

This new variant of the Moto X4 will be available from Flipkart and all the Moto Hubs in India, starting February 1 at 11:59 pm IST. The price is INR 24,999, which is Rs 2,000 more than the current price of 4GB+64GB variant of the phone. Along with more RAM, the phone is also coming with Android Oreo right out of the box. It is worth mentioning that the previous variants that are available to buy come with Android Nougat out of the box and are upgradable to Oreo. With Android Oreo, users will be getting all the new features like Improved Notifications, autofill, notification dots, etc.

So yes, the RAM is the only thing which is upgraded. What are your thoughts on this? Is the price tag of Rs 24,999 good for a phone with Snapdragon 630, 6GB RAM, 3,000mAh battery, average dual cameras, beautiful design, IP68 rating, etc.? Keep in mind that adding Rs 1,000 more gets you the Honor 8 Pro which is a high-end flagship of last year.
