Motorola has launched a new mid-range smartphone in the European market, the Moto G75 5G. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the Moto G73 5G, which launched in 2023 with a MediaTek Dimensity 930 SOC. The G75 5G comes with some significant upgrades over its predecessor while keeping the same starting price.
Starting with the design, the Moto G75 5G looks identical to the Edge 50 Neo. There are three cameras on the rear with an LED flash in the top left corner. The frame is flat, as is the display on the front. This is the first Moto G series phone to be MIL-STD 810H and IP68-certified. The display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and the back has either vegan leather or a matte finish. There is a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.
Under the hood, the Moto G75 5G has the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, built on the 4nm process. This chipset has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.4GHz. There is 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging support.
The display is a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits brightness. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side.
Coming to the cameras, the Moto G75 5G has a triple camera setup. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with an f/1.79 lens and OIS. The second camera has an 8MP sensor with an ultrawide lens that shoots macro photos too. Finally, the third sensor is a flicker sensor. The selfie shooter uses a 16MP sensor. The phone can shoot 4K videos at 30fps from both the front and rear cameras.
Finally, the Moto G75 5G runs on Android 14 out of the box and Motorola has promised five OS updates for this device. The phone will receive security patch updates for the next six years.
The color options are Aqua Blue, Succulent Green, and Charcoal Grey. In Europe, the price starts at €299. The phone will soon be available in Latin America and Asia.
