SCREENSHOTS – Android 8.1 Oreo Soak Test for Moto G5s & Moto G5s Plus

Motorola is no longer the smartphone company that was once known for quick Android updates. The company is yet to roll out the Android Oreo update for last year’s G series devices, but as promised, the rollout will begin soon. From today, the soak test users of the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus in Brazil and other countries started getting Android 8.1 Oreo update which means the public rollout is going to happen pretty soon. If you don’t know, soak test users are just like the beta users for an early build of Android update.

The Android 8.1 Oreo update brings the June security patch which and some other features like three finger screenshot, bug fixes, etc. There is also a redesigned power menu as shown in the screenshots above. It is not clear when the public rollout is happening, but as soon as the Soak test is over, we can expect the public rollout to happen.
