Mi Band 5 will offer NFC support and might come with built-in mic

The Mi Band 4 was introduced in India a few months back and the company has already started working on the successor i.e., Mi band 5. The upcoming Mi band 5 is reported to launch next year and months before it’s stepping into the market,  the internet is flooding with the key details about the fitness tracker. 

Mi band 5 will additionally offer NFC support outside China as well. This is not the first time that the company will introduce NFC support in their smart band. The Mi band 4 already offers NFC support, but the feature never made it to the global market.

It is also said the Mi band 5 will be more reliable and advance than its predecessor. It will have more advanced features like a better touch display, fewer bezels, a good battery and might come with a built-in mic.

Reports also suggest that the upcoming Mi band 5 would be more Hydrophilic in comparison with the Mi band 4. The Mi band 4 comes with 0.95-inch AMOLED coloured display, is fueled by a 135mAh battery and supports 5ATM water-resistant rating. The band also has a heart rate sensor and Bluetooth 5.0.

In terms of features, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 allows users to control the music through the smart band. The band also lets users sync the band with the device via Mi Fit application. Band users can also respond to call and app notifications from the band.

Mi band 4 has other key features like sleep, swim stroke monitoring and daily activity tracker. The Mi Band is compatible with the phones operating on Android 4.4 and iOS 9 and above. Recently, Xiaomi launched Redmi 8 in India and the company is also gearing up for the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch event.
