Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3!

Release Date

Starting Price
¥4999 (~$695)

Recently, Meizu announced its exit from the smartphone market as the company is going to focus on AI. Today, however, the brand launched a new flagship phone in China, the Meizu 21 Pro. This is most likely the last phone from Meizu, and it is feature-packed. In China, the phone starts at ¥4999, which translates to around $700.

As the name suggests, this is a more expensive version of the Meizu 21, which was launched in November last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC.

Meizu 21 Pro

Design-wise, the phone looks pretty different from the Meizu 21. There is a tall 21:9 display on the front, similar to the Sony smartphones. The phone also has lesser curved edges than the vanilla model. The display is flat with slim bezels. The brand has used its “Titan Glass 2.0”  for protection.

On the back, the phone has a triple camera setup with a smart RGB ring light. The phone is IP68 certified, has stereo speakers, and an mEngine Ultra haptic motor.

Meizu 21 Pro

Speaking of the specs, the Meizu 21 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC and has 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage. There is a 6.79-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO BOE Q9 OLED display with an HBM brightness is 1250 nits. This is an LTPO panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. As mentioned earlier, this is a 21:9 display so it is perfect for content consumption. There is an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.

The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP 3X telephoto camera. There is also a Time of Flight sensor on the rear. The primary camera can shoot 8K videos. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP sensor.

The battery is 5,050mAh and the phone supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. For comparison, the Meizu 21 has a 4,800mAh battery and does not support wireless charging.

Finally, FlymeOS runs out of the box, based on Android 14.
