MediaTek will announce Dimensity 9200 on November 8

The launch date was officially announced today

Recently, the Dimensity 9200 SOC was benchmarked on AnTuTu, and we got to know that the GPU is getting a significant upgrade in performance. Well, today, MediaTek officially announced the launch date of the SOC. On its Weibo profile, MediaTek announced that it is launching its next flagship SOC on November 8, which means there is only a week left for the official announcement. MediaTek did not officially confirm the name of this SOC.

The Weibo post asks – What should be the benchmark of the next-generation flagship chipsets? Should it be the ultimate gaming experience or ultra-low power consumption, or a great audiovisual experience?

This suggests that the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 has all of these, i.e., top-notch performance, low power consumption, ultimate gaming experience, and an excellent audiovisual experience.

In the AnTuTu benchmark, we saw that the GPU score of Dimensity 9200 was higher than that of Dimensity 9000+ by over 100,000 points. This is due to the new ARM Immortalis-G715 GPU that offers a significant performance boost over the last generation. This should also bring the Dimensity 9200 closer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of GPU performance, something the MediaTek SOCs have struggled to do in the past.
