LG is yet to launch any flagship smartphone in 2018 that will be competing with the latest flagships from Samsung, Xiaomi, etc. There have been a lot of leaks of the LG G7 in the past and yesterday, the official press render of the phone left nothing to the imagination. Today, LG has officially confirmed the name, i.e., LG G7 ThinQ. For the very first time, we have ‘ThinQ’ branding for any G-series phone from LG. On the official newsroom, LG says that ThinQ is a brand that reflects LG Electronics’ goal of ‘Thinking in the customer’s standpoint and practicing customer’s attention.’
If you recall, the company launched LG V30s ThinQ at the Mobile World Congress with some AI features like Voice AI, Empathy AI, and the Vision AI. The company says that the LG G7 ThinQ upgrades the performance and convenience of ‘sympathetic AI,’ as well as enhances interoperability with other devices.
The managing director of LG Electronics, Ha Jeong-wook, said –
Since smartphones have focused on filling new functions and more functions so far, it is time for us to find solutions to how convenient customers actually use them. We will show the convenience that we have not seen until now by concentrating the accumulated AI technology.
The launch is set to happen on May 2nd in Manhattan, New York.
