Google Pixel 9 renders reveal triple cameras & a flat frame

The first non-Pro Pixel to feature three rear cameras!

Yesterday, the unofficial renders of the Google Pixel 9 Pro gave us our first look at the design of 2024’s flagship phone by Google. These renders revealed a new camera module design, a flat display, and a flat frame. Now, OnLeaks has shared the renders of the Google Pixel 9, in collaboration with 91Mobiles. These renders reveal an identical design as the Pro model, and there are some interesting things to note.

The Google Pixel 9 has the same rounded corners as the Pixel 9 Pro. The phone has a flat frame and a flat display with a hole punch cutout in the center. One interesting thing to note is the camera module on the rear. The Google Pixel 9 has three cameras on the back. Yes, a triple-camera setup on a non-Pro model is happening!

For the first time, a non-Pro Google Pixel will feature both the ultrawide and telephoto cameras. As per the renders, there is a periscope telephoto camera on the Pixel 9. The phone even has that extra sensor below the LED flash module, which could be the temperature sensor. For comparison, the Google Pixel 8 did not have it, even though the Pixel 8 Pro had.

As per the source, the Google Pixel 9 has a 6.1-inch flat display, slightly smaller than the 6.2-inch panel on the Pixel 8. The dimensions are 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, compared to Pixel 8’s 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9 mm. So, the phone is taller, wider, and slimmer than the Pixel 8.

Google Pixel 9 is expected to feature the same Tensor G4 chipset which will power the Pixel 9 Pro.
