The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro were launched with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in October last year. Later this year, we got the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with impressive camera hardware. The brand has now launched a new flagship phone under this series, the Xiaomi 15s Pro. The biggest USP of this phone is its chipset. This is the first smartphone from the brand that uses Xiaomi’s in-house Xring O1 chipset. Yes, it does not have a MediaTek or Qualcomm chipset.
Speaking of this chipset, the Xring O1 is built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm N3E process. The SOC has a deca-core CPU with two Cortex-X925 cores clocked at up to 3.9GHz, fourCortex-A725 cores clocked at up to 3.4GHz, two Cortex-A725 cores clocked at up to 1.9GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz. There is an Immortalis-G925 GPU with 16 cores. If you are thinking of the benchmark scores, the company has claimed an AnTuTu score of over 3 Million points, which, on paper, beats the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The SOC supports LPDDR5T RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, USB 3.2 Gen 2, and Wi-Fi 7.
The Xiaomi 15s Pro has a massive 6,100mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging alongside 50W wireless charging.
Speaking of other specifications, the Xiaomi 15s Pro has a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a Quad-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There are three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with OIS, the ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor, and the periscope telephoto camera has a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom and OIS.
There is an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
