Vivo X300 Ultra camera specifications revealed ahead of the launch

The new camera king?

Last year in April, the Vivo X200 Ultra was launched in China, featuring impressive camera hardware, including a primary 1/1.28″ 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor. The camera module on the X200 Ultra was huge, as the phone also featured a 200MP 1/1.4″ Samsung HP9 sensor for the periscope telephoto camera. The brand is all set to launch the Vivo X300 Ultra as the launch is scheduled for March 30.

While we have a week left for the official unveiling, the camera specifications of the phone were shared by the brand.

The Vivo X300 Ultra has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.12″ 200MP Sony LYT-901 sensor with a 35mm f/1.85 lens and CIPA 6.5 image stabilization. This camera sensor was launched a few months ago, and this is the first 200MP sensor under Sony’s LYT lineup. This sensor supports up to 4x in-sensor zoom. The ultrawide camera has a 50MP 1/1.28″ Sony LYT-818 sensor with a 14mm lens, CIPA 6.0 image stabilization, and 3rd generation VCS technology. Finally, we have the periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4″ Samsung HP0 sensor, 85mm f/2.67 lens, and CIPA 7.0 image stabilization. It is interesting to see the periscope telephoto camera having better image stabilization technology than the primary camera.

The phone also has a 5MP 12-channel color spectrum sensor.

Well, compared to the Vivo X200 Ultra, there is a bigger sensor this year for the primary shooter with a higher megapixel count and better image stabilization. But the aperture is narrower at f/1.85 as compared to f/1.7 last year.

The ultrawide camera has the same sensor as the Vivo X200 Ultra but gets better image stabilization. The periscope telephoto camera also gets an upgraded Samsung HP0 sensor as compared to an HP9 sensor on the Vivo X200 Ultra. But the aperture is narrower at f/2.67 as compared to f/2.3 last year.

The phone supports 4K 120fps 10bit Log video recording.

Finally, the Vivo X300 Ultra will get some additional accessories, including the 200mm and 400mm teleconvertor lenses.

Well, the Vivo X300 Ultra is definitely going to be one of the best camera phones, so it would be interesting to see how it competes with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the iPhone 17 Pro.
