Last year we got the Vivo APEX 2019 concept phone, which launched with a Full-Screen fingerprint scanner & no buttons or ports at all. Obviously it didn’t come to the market for the consumers since it was a concept phone, but still, it was a very interesting phone from the brand.
Now, the Vivo APEX 2020 is going to launch on February 28th & looking at all the teasers posted by the company so far, it won’t be a surprise if this phone stuns everyone with its design.
The latest teaser on Weibo reveals that the phone comes with 60W Wireless Charging support. Yes, we didn’t make any mistakes here. It is 60W Super Fast ‘Wireless Charging, ‘ which is the fastest wireless charging technology on any smartphone. It is fascinating that just a handful of smartphones gets around 60W Fast Wired Charging & then there is the Apex 2020 that features 60W Wireless Charging.
Another teaser reveals that the Vivo APEX 2020 comes with a waterfall display that has edges curved at 120-degree. Due to this, there are no physical buttons at all as the phone has pressure-sensitive sides that can be used to mask the volume rockers & the power button.
The Vivo APEX 2020 is also coming with an interesting camera setup on the rear. There is a primary 48 Megapixel Gimbal Camera & the name suggests some sort of gimbal-like stabilization, which means it would be far better than any OIS or EIS implemented on any smartphone so far. Moreover, there is a periscope-style ZOOM lens that can deliver 5-7.5X Optical Zoom.
