Earlier today, we got to know that the OnePlus Nord 2 with Dimensity 1200 SOC has been benchmarked on the AI Benchmark, which shows the AI prowess of the chipset. Now, we got to see the design of it as the high-quality renders of the phone were shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer with 91Mobiles. These renders show a very familiar design with that camera module & the display. It is worth mentioning that these are not the official images of the phone but renders based on the early prototype CAD. Nevertheless, we know how reliable OnLeaks is with his leaks, so we aren’t going to question.
So it seems like OnePlus took the OnePlus 9’s design, moved the LED flash to the bottom in that camera module & that’s it. You got the OnePluus Nord 2. There is the same flat display on the front with a hole punch on the top left corner and the same buttons placement with the alert slider on the right side along with the power button and volume rockers on the left.
Funnily enough, while OnePlus proudly advertised how it brought back the headphone jack on the Nord CE, the Nord 2 is apparently missing the same. So this is the same situation as with the OnePlus Nord of last year. The rough dimensions of the phone are 160 x 73.8 x 8.1mm. For comparison, here are the dimensions of the OnePlus 9 -160 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm. So, you get the idea!
As we know already, the OnePlus Nord 2 features a 90Hz AMOLED with Full-HD+ resolution, a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 camera sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide and a 2 Megapixel macro sensor, a 32 Megapixel selfie shooter, a 4,500mAh battery & is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SOC.
Let’s wait for the announcement regarding the launch since there is no information on when the Nord 2 is launching.
