
In August last year, the Motorola Edge 50 was launched in India with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 15W wireless charging, IP68 rating, and more. The phone was launched in India at ₹27,999. Today, its successor was launched in the Indian market. The Motorola Edge 60 is now official in India and the phone brings some nice upgrades over the Edge 50.
Design-wise, it looks identical to the recently launched Motorola smartphones. There is a triple camera setup on the rear and the back has a vegan leather finish. The phone has a curved display on the front and there is a plastic frame. The display features Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The phone is IP68 and IP69-certified, and there are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 60 has the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The battery is 5,500mAh and there is 68W fast wired charging. Surprisingly, the phone lacks wireless charging, something its predecessor had.
In terms of cameras, the Motorola Edge 60 has three on the rear. The primary rear camera has a 1/1.56” 50MP LYT-700C sensor with an f/1.88 lens and OIS support. The ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor with autofocus and can shoot macro photos. Finally, there is a 3x telephoto camera with a 10MP sensor and OIS support. For selfies, the phone has a 50MP sensor. Both the rear and the front cameras can shoot up to 4K 30fps videos.
Finally, speaking of the display, the Motorola Edge 60 has a 6.67-inch quad-curved pOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, HDR10+ support, up to 4500 nits peak brightness, a 10-bit color depth, and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 96.32% screen-to-body ratio. There is an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and the display has Aqua Touch feature.
The Motorola Edge 60 runs on Android 15 out of the box and will get three major OS updates.
The color options are Pantone Shamrock and Pantone Gibraltar Sea. The phone is available in a single configuration in the Indian market and the price is ₹25,999.
