[OFFICIAL] List of phones to get latest Android Q Beta

Google announced a lot of exciting stuff at the I/O 2019 like some new Assistant features, Google Pixel 3a, and 3a XL, Android Q Beta 3, Dark Mode in Android Q, etc. The Beta 3 of Android Q was announced for not only the Pixel phones but also a lot of other phones from different brands like Xiaomi, Asus, Realme, Huawei, etc.

This is all due to the Project Treble which, if you don’t know, is a mechanism to deliver faster Android updates to phones. It was first announced with Android 8.0 Oreo in 2017. This time, there are 15 non-Pixel phones that will get the Beta 3 of Android 10 Q. In this article, we shared the list of all those phones & let us know in the comments section if your phone is on the list or not.

LIST OF PHONES GETTING ANDROID Q BETA 3

ASUS ZENFONE 5Z

The Asus Zenfone 5Z launched last year as a flagship from the brand, and for the first time in a few years, Asus went for very aggressive pricing for its flagships. In fact, when the phone launched, it was the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered device.

The phone features a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 845 processor, 4/6/8GB RAM, 64/128/256GB ROM, Dual rear cameras (12MP f/1.8 IMX363 + 8MP f/2.0), 3,300mAh battery & Android 9 Pie. There are also a ton of AI Features.

ESSENTIAL PHONE

Essential Phone is the first device from the company & it launched back in 2017 with a unique design & it was the first phone to launch with a notch. But, as we all know, the notch didn’t look that good & there was also a huge bottom chin. Moreover, the camera wasn’t that good & there was also a lot of software bugs initially. But, the phone is still getting software updates, and that’s a good thing. It is worth mentioning that it launched with Android 7.1 Nougat.

The phone features Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Dual 13MP cameras, 5.71-inch Quad-HD+ display, and a 3,040mAh battery.

HUAWEI MATE 20 PRO

This is the only Huawei device to get Android Q Beta 3 & it launched last year in October with top of the line specifications like triple rear cameras, 6.39-inch Quad-HD+ OLED panel, 7nm Kirin 980 processor, 6/8GB RAM & 128/256GB internal storage. There is a massive 4,200mAh battery underneath & the phone also supports 40W fast charging.

The phone launched with Android 9 Pie running out of the box.

LG G8

LG also makes sure that most of its newer phones get the latest Android update. The LG G8 is getting Android Q Beta & the phone launched this year as a flagship from the brand.

The LG G8 has a 6.1-inch Quad-HD+ P-OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Triple rear cameras, 3,500mAH battery with 21W Fast Charging, IP68 rating & Android 9 Pie.

NOKIA 8.1

We already know that all the Nokia phones launch under the Android One program which means they run pure stock Android out of the box & get regular updates. But, only Nokia 8.1 is getting the Android Q Beta 3.

The phone launched in December last year as Nokia X7 in the Chinese market & features 6.18-inch Full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 710 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, Dual Rear cameras with ZEISS Optics, 3,500mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 9 Pie.

ONEPLUS 6T

The OnePlus 7 series is launching soon, but the OnePlus 6T is getting the Beta 3 update of Android Q. The phone launched in the second half of last year with some impressive specs like Snapdragon 845 processor, 6.41-inch FHD+ display, in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual Rear Cameras, 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB ROM & 3,700mAh battery with 20W Fast Charging.

OPPO RENO

Interestingly, the all-new Oppo Reno (not the one with 10X Zoom) is also getting the Android Q Beta 3.

It is a premium mid-ranger from the brand featuring a 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, Snapdragon 710 processor, 6/8GB RAM with 128/256GB ROM, Dual Rear cameras (48MP + 5MP), Motorized pop-up selfie camera, 3,765mAh battery with 20W Fast charging & Android 9 Pie.

REALME 3 PRO

Well, this was a surprise for sure as Realme 3 Pro is getting the Beta 3 as well. The phone launched in April with Snapdragon 710 processor, 6.3-inch FHD+ display with waterdrop notch, 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM, 4,045mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 charging & Color OS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.

There are dual rear cameras that include a primary 16MP f/1.7 camera & a secondary 5MP depth sensor. Interestingly, the primary rear camera is the same as the one on OnePlus 6T.

SONY XPERIA XZ3

The Sony Xperia XZ3 was the company’s flagship of 2018 & is getting Android Q Beta 3 as well.

The phone launched with 6.0-inch Quad-HD+ 18:9 HDR P-OLED panel, Snapdragon 845 processor, 4/6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, single 19MP f/2.0 rear camera, 3,300mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 9 Pie.

TECNO SPARK 3 PRO

This was also a surprise since it is an entry-level smartphone featuring a MediaTek MT6761 processor & 2GB RAM. It is a 4G smartphone with some AI features. There is a 6.2-inch HD+ display, 2/3GB RAM, 16/32GB ROM, 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 3,500mAh battery & Android 9 Pie running out of the box.

VIVO X27

The Vivo X27 launched this year in March as the first X-series phone from the brand to have a pop-up selfie camera. The phone features a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display, Snapdragon 710 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM, Triple Rear Cameras (48MP + 13MP + 8MP), 4,000mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Funtouch OS based on Android 9 Pie.

VIVO NEX S

The Vivo NEX S was a flagship from Vivo launched last year with a motorized pop-up selfie camera, in-display fingerprint scanner, 6.59-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ panel, Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, 128/256GB ROM, Dual Rear cameras, 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W Fast Charging & FunTouch OS 4 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

VIVO NEX A

This is the third phone from Vivo in this list that is getting the Android Q Beta 3. Unlike the NEX S, the Vivo NEX A is a mid-ranger with Snapdragon 710 processor. It launched with a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Dual Rear Cameras, pop-up selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery with 22W Fast charging & Funtouch 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

XIAOMI MI 9

There are a couple of Xiaomi phones in the list as well & the Xiaomi Mi 9 is one of them.

It is the current flagship from the brand featuring a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED Full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 855 processor, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM, Triple rear cameras (48MP + 12MP + 12MP), 3,300mAh battery with 27W Fast Charging, 20W Wireless Charging, & MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

XIAOMI MI MIX 3 5G

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launched last year but the Mi Mix 3 5G launched this year with 5G support.

Google Pixel 3 was one of the two Pixel phones launched last year & the phone launched with a 5.5-inch P-OLED FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 12.2MP f/1.8 rear camera, 4GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM, Dual Front cameras, Stereo Speakers, 2,915mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 9 Pie.

GOOGLE PIXEL 3 XL

The Google Pixel 3 XL launched with a 6.3-inch P-OLED Quad-HD+ Display (With a bathtub notch), Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM, 12.2MP single rear camera, Dual Front cameras, 3,430mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 9 Pie. GOOGLE PIXEL 2

The Google Pixel launched with 5.0-inch AMOLED Full-HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM, 12.3MP f/2.0 single rear camera, 2,770mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 7.1 Nougat.

GOOGLE PIXEL XL

This was one of the first two Pixel phones launched in 2016. It launched alongside the Google Pixel & featured a 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM, single 12.3MP rear camera, 3,450mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging & Android 7.1 Nougat.
