UPDATE – HIGH-QUALITY PRESS RENDERS VIA @evleaks
The Asus ROG Phone 8 series was launched last month, featuring a new design language & top of the line hardware. The brand has yet to announce the launch date for the Zenfone 11, but it looks like this year, we are getting not one but two phones under the Zenfone series. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is also launching this year, and the full specifications and design have leaked online. These were shared by a Reddit user who found these inside the Asus ROG Phone 8 firmware.
Going by the design and specifications, the Zenfone 11 Ultra is a rebrand of the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
As we can see, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra comes in at least five color options – Black, Blue, Silver, Green & Orange/Bronze. The ROG Phone 8 Pro comes in just one color – Black. Since it is a Zenfone, the phone has no “ROG” logo on the back. Instead, the “Asus Zenfone” branding is on the top right corner. The back is not entirely plain, so some lines are on the bottom.
The camera module design is almost the same as the ROG Phone 8 Pro, except that the one on the Zenfone 11 Ultra is a complete square instead of a pentagon.
And well, those are all the differences in the design.
As for the specifications, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra has a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate (144Hz support while gaming). The SOC is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery is 5,500mAh, and the phone supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.
There are three rear cameras – a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with gimbal OIS, a 13MP ultrawide with a 120-degree FOV, and a 32MP telephoto with a 3x optical zoom + OIS. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP RGBW sensor.
Finally, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers.
So, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra has the same specifications but a slightly different design than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro. It would be interesting to see the price at which the brand is launching this phone. The ROG Phone 8 Pro starts at $1,199 / ₹94,999, so at least we can expect the Zenfone 11 Ultra to be priced under a thousand bucks, otherwise, it will be a tough sell.
