It is that time of the year when a lot of smartphones are going to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 & Dimensity 9500 chipsets. The Xiaomi 17 series is already official, and now, Redmi is preparing to unveil its flagship phones in China under the K90 series. We will get at least three phones – Redmi K90, Redmi K90 Pro, and the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
The launch is set to take place on October 23, and the company has shared the official images of the K90 Pro Max on Weibo, revealing the design.
Design-wise, the Redmi K90 Pro Max looks clean. Unlike the Redmi K80 series, which featured a circular camera module design, the Redmi K90 Pro Max has a rectangular camera module that spans the entire width of the phone. There are three cameras on the rear, with one of them having a periscope telephoto lens. This is the first time we are getting a periscope telephoto camera on a Redmi flagship.
An interesting thing to note is the ‘Sound By Bose’ branding on the camera module. It looks like there is a physical speaker on the rear, so while there is no secondary display on the rear like the Xiaomi 17 series, Redmi has managed to make use of the extra space in the camera module
The frame is metal, as evident from the antenna lines. There is a flat screen on the front with extremely slim bezels, but they are not symmetrical. The bottom chin is slightly thicker than the other three bezels.
The Redmi K90 Pro Max is also launching in a denim blue color option, where the back has a textured denim finish.
The spec sheet is not yet official but we won’t be surprised to see the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powering the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
