The Xiaomi 14 Ultra was officially launched in February last year and the same is going to happen this year. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is launching this month in China and the global market.
Well, ahead of the official launch, we now have the official renders of the smartphone along with the specifications of the global variant, thanks to Android Headlines.
This is not the first time we are looking at the design of the phone. In October, the renders of the phone were leaked, showing the camera module. Earlier this month, the camera specifications of the phone were confirmed too.
The latest set of renders reveal the two-tone color variant of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra had a huge circular camera module last year and it is only getting bigger on the Xiami 15 Ultra. The camera layout has also changed so there is one camera on top with a periscope lens, and the rest of the three are on the bottom in one line. There is a micro quad-curved display on the front with slim bezels.
The cameras are the star of the show for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The phone has four cameras on the rear. According to the latest leak, the phone has a primary 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor with OIS support, the same as its predecessor. The ultrawide camera has a 1/2.76″ 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor (the 14 Ultra had a 1/2.51″ 50MP IMX858 sensor). There is a 3x telephoto camera with a 1/2.51″ 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor, the same as the 14 Ultra.
The star of the show is the periscope telephoto camera. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra uses a 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor for the periscope telephoto camera which offers a 4.3x optical zoom. While the optical zoom is lower than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the sensor is massive this time. This large sensor is the reason why the periscope telephoto camera sits alone at top in the camera module. The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor.
Other specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a large 5,410mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage,a 6.73″ Quad-HD+ LTPO OLED display with Xiaomi Shield Glass 2, stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner.
Well, the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra as indeed impressive. Let’s see at what price the brand launches the phone in the global market. The competitors include the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Vivo X200 Pro, etc.
