The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was launched in September last year with an Exynos 2400e chipset, a 4,700mAh battery, and a $649 starting price tag. Today, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE was announced by the brand, and it brings some notable upgrades over its predecessor.

Design-wise, there is hardly any difference. There is the same design, including a triple camera setup on the rear, flat sides, a flat display, stereo speakers, an IP68 rating, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back. The thickness and the weight are different this time. The phone is 7.4mm thick and weighs around 190g. This is down from the 8mm Galaxy S24 FE, which weighed around 213g. This makes the Galaxy S25 FE the slimmest phone ever under the ‘FE’ series.
The phone has an Armor Aluminum Frame, which the brand says is stronger than the S24 FE.
While the phone is the slimmest in the ‘FE’ series, it has the biggest battery. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE packs a 4,900mAh battery (versus 4,700mAh) with faster 45W wired charging support (versus 25W).
The phone is powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, the same SOC that powered the Galaxy S24 & S24 Plus last year. This is a slightly more powerful version of the Exynos 2400e, which the Galaxy S24 FE had last year. For better thermals, the phone has a 10% larger vapor chamber than the S24 FE. The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB, or 512GB storage.
Speaking of the display, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate (non-LTPO) and 1900 nits of peak brightness. On paper, this is the same display as the S24 FE.

The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS. There is a 12MP sensor for the selfie shooter with no autofocus. The rear camera can shoot 8K videos at up to 30fps. It looks like there is no upgrade in the rear cameras. The selfie camera, however, gets a new 12MP sensor versus a 10MP sensor on the S24 FE.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE runs on Android 16-based OneUI 8 out of the box, and the brand has promised seven OS updates for the phone.
The price starts at $649 for the US. That’s the same starting price as last year’s Galaxy S24 FE.
