Samsung Confirms Bixby as AI Assistant Name via Official Website



Thanks to Alexa by Amazon, we got the all new Google Assistant and also, Apple had to upgrade its Siri to remain in the competition. The AI game is turning strong as we now have Samsung coming with its own AI Assistant. A few months ago, the name of ‘Bixby’ was first heard, and sources revealed it to be the name of Samsung’s own AI Assistant. It seems like Samsung didn’t want to keep it a secret anymore as the company has officially confirmed the name of Bixby AI Assistant through the official website.

Samsung Confirms the name of Bixby


Not just the name is confirmed, but the company also said that it would be introduced with the premium phones first and later, the cheaper Samsung devices will get this new AI Assistant. In case you aren’t aware yet, the upcoming Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus are going to be the first Samsung phones to be equipped with the all new Bixby Assitant. In fact, Samsung has added a dedicated button for launching the assistant. Anyways, here is what the ‘Privacy Policy For Mobile Devices’ on Samsung’s website says about the AI Assistant –

Depending on your model and in your area, you can order the mobile device to activate certain functions, such as playing songs from a playlist or Internet searches using S Voice. In addition, you can control all operations with the touch interface using voice commands with Bixby

Just two weeks are now left for the next High-end Galaxy devices to launch, and this new news has somewhat increased the excitement that has already reduced due to the constant leaks.
