Qualcomm Confirms OnePlus 5 is Powered by Snapdragon 835

There is no denying the fact that each and every smartphone lover among us is excited for the launch of the next ‘Flagship Killer’ from OnePlus, i.e., the OnePlus 5. The smartphone has leaked many times via benchmarking sites, hands-on shots, online listings, etc. It is already known that it is powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and today, the official Twitter page of Qualcomm has confirmed this officially. So yes! The OnePlus 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor that makes it a tough competitor for the Snapdragon 835 phones like Mi6 and Galaxy S8 that have been launched already.

Along with the processor, OnePlus’s team has added some more features into the Oxygen OS to manage better the way all the applications perform. Also, apps that are rarely used by a user have been deprioritized and kept from affecting the performance of the smartphone. The company said in the official OnePlus forum that –

These are just some examples, of course. But they illustrate how obsessively we pay attention to the details when optimizing the performance of OnePlus products. We’re driven to perfect even the smallest aspects of our products. And when you get your hands on the OnePlus 5, we hope you’ll notice the difference. Never Settle.

So, let’s see if the OnePlus 5 can beat the competition out there or not. The launch date is not known yet, but Qualcomm says the phone is launching ‘soon’ so we hope to see it next month. What are your views? Do let us know via the comments section.
