In January last year, the Poco X6 series was launched in the global market, which featured the Poco X6 & X6 Pro. The Poco X6 was a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro, whereas the Poco X6 Pro was a rebranded Redmi K70E. The company is all set to launch the Poco X7 series in the global market on January 9, and the star of the show is the Poco X7 Pro.
It was reported that the X7 Pro is a rebrand of the Redmi Turbo 4, which is launching in China on January 2. Now, the official posts by the company have confirmed the same. The brand also revealed the price range in which it will be launched.
The Poco X7 Pro is launching in the Indian market at under ₹30,000. For comparison, the Poco X6 Pro was launched in India at a starting price of ₹26,999. Two things make this an interesting option at this price, and those are the performance and the battery.
The Poco X6 Pro had the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-ULTRA chipset, which made it one of the best-performing phones at its price. The Poco X7 Pro features the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 8400-ULTRA chipset, which makes it the first smartphone outside China to launch with this chipset. This is the first chipset from MediaTek under the 8xxx series with an all-big core CPU design, similar to the Dimensity 9xxx series.
On the AnTuTu benchmark, Poco is claiming a score of over 1.7 Million. For comparison, the Poco X6 Pro scored around 1.4 Million on the AnTuTu benchmark. Poco is claiming that the X7 Pro is the most powerful phone under ₹30,000 in the Indian market. There is LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage. For better thermals, the phone has a 5,000mm² vapor chamber.
The Poco X7 Pro features a massive 6,550mAh battery, and the brand claims it is the largest Carbon-Silicon battery in a smartphone in the Indian market. This is a massive upgrade over the 5,000mAh battery inside the Poco X6 Pro. The charging speed remains the same at 90W. The phone has Xiaomi’s Surge P2 chip for more reliable charging. Poco claims that after 1600 charge cycles, the battery will retain 80% of its health.
Finally, there is a 50MP sensor for the primary rear camera with OIS support. Well, for someone looking for a performance-centric device under ₹30,000, the Poco X7 Pro is going to be the number one option. Let’s see how these numbers turn out in the real world.
