In June, the Lava Yuva 5G was launched in the Indian market, and it was a budget 5G phone with a UNISOC T750 chipset. The phone was launched at a starting price of ₹9,499. The brand has now launched its successor, the Lava Yuva 2 5G, in the Indian market, and the phone brings an upgraded SOC, and design for the same price.

The design is one of the highlights of the phone. On the back, there is a rectangular camera module in the top left corner with a two-tone finish and an LED strip that works as a notification light. The phone has a stereo speaker setup and features a marble finish on the back. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button.

Under the hood, the Lava Yuva 2 5G has the UNISOC T760 chipset, which has a higher-clocked CPU than the UNISOC T750 (2.3GHz vs 2.0GHz). The GPU, while the same, is clocked higher at 850MHz (versus 680MHz). Lava says the phone scores over 440,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. There is LPDDR4X RAM with UFS 2.2 storage.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Speaking of the cameras, the dual camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP sensor for the primary camera and a 2MP sensor for the secondary camera. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor.

The phone runs on Android 14 out of the box. There is a 720p LCD on the front with a 90Hz refresh rate and 700 nits brightness.

Lava Yuva 2 5G comes in two colors – Marble Black, and Marble White. The introductory price is ₹9,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant.
