Early OnePlus 8 CAD renders suggest hole-punch display

OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 7T with features like a triple camera setup, 90Hz Flat AMOLED display, Warp Charge 30T & more. While we are waiting for the launch of OnePlus 7T Pro, the early CAD renders of the OnePlus 8 have already appeared & they reveal that the company isn’t in any mood to go for a whole new design for the next year’s flagship. Still, these are early renders, so this might not be the final design.

As you can see, the OnePlus 8 will have a vertically placed triple camera setup on the rear like the OnePlus 7 Pro. So, the design would be the same as the OnePlus 7 Pro from the rear. On the front, there is going to be a hole-punch display which means the selfie camera is placed on the top left in a circular cutout. So, there isn’t a pop-up selfie camera like on OnePlus 7 Pro.

The most interesting thing that we knew with this new leak is that the OnePlus 8 has Wireless Charging support, something that no OnePlus device launched so far has. The dimensions are 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.1mm & the display measures almost 6.5-inches.

Well, if this is indeed the design that we are going to see with the next year’s OnePlus 8 then it would be the first non-Pro phone from the brand to feature a curved display. But still, it could be the design of one of the prototypes of the device, so we have to wait. What do you think of this design? Do let us know via the comments section.
