Motorola Edge+ launching this year, could be a flagship

Last year, we got a lot of smartphones from Motorola & most of them were budget or mid-range phones. The only premium device we got was the Foldable Motorola Razr. It was the first time in past few years that Motorola didn’t launch a flagship under its ‘Z’ series.

After the launch of Moto Z4 last year, even Motorola confirmed that no more ‘Z’ series phones would launch in 2019. But this year, Motorola is definitely going to launch a flagship as the company revealed it at the Qualcomm’s Tech Summit last year. Motorola announced that the company would launch a smartphone with the Snapdragon 865 SOC.

Today, we might just have got the first piece of information about this flagship. Evan Blass, who is one of the most trusted sources for all sort of tech leaks, has revealed on his Twitter profile that Motorola Edge+ is in the works & will launch this year.

While we don’t know the design or the specifications yet, the name does imply that there is a display with curved edges, similar to Samsung’s premium flagships. With a ‘+’ in the name, this may indicate a ‘Waterfall display’, but nothing can be said at the moment. The only thing that we know is that there is a phone with the name ‘Motorola Edge+’ & it’s launching this year.
