Starting Price
₹31,999

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is now official in the Indian market, and while the name makes it look like a successor to the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, it is not. It is more like an upgrade over the Motorola Edge 40. The Edge 50 Pro is a premium mid-range smartphone, priced at ₹31,999. For the price, the phone offers some features that even some flagship phones do not offer.

The design is one of the highlights of this smartphone. The Edge 50 Pro comes in three color options – Luxe Lavender, Black Beauty, and Moonlight Pearl. Out of these, the Luxe Lavender and Black Beauty colors have a vegan leather back. The frame is made of aluminum, and there is a curved display on the front. The phone has a USB 3.1 Type-C port on the bottom, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a triple microphone setup, and a hybrid sim slot.

Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Yes, the storage is UFS 2.2, and not UFS 3.1, which is a bummer. The battery is 4,500mAh, and the phone supports up to 125W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

On the front, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a 6.7-inch 1.5K 144Hz pOLED display with HDR10+ support, and 2000 nits peak brightness. This is the world’s first smartphone with a “Pantone” validated display. Motorola says every Pantone-validated device has met Pantone’s evaluation and grading criteria by authentically simulating the full range of real-world Pantone Colors.

As for the cameras, the Edge 50 Pro uses a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.3″ 50MP sensor with a large f/1.4 aperture lens and OIS. The ultrawide camera uses a 13MP sensor with autofocus and can shoot macro photos. The third camera has a 10MP sensor and a 3x telephoto lens. For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP sensor with autofocus. The rear cameras can shoot up to 4K 30fps videos.
