In May last year, the iQOO Z9 Turbo was officially launched with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SOC and a starting price of ¥1999 (~$275). Apart from performance, the battery was the highlight of that phone as it had a 6,000mAh battery. Today, the iQOO Z9 Turbo Endurance Edition was launched in China, which is simply the iQOO Z9 Turbo with a bigger battery.
Design-wise, there is no change except for the new Blue color option. The phone has a 6,400mAh battery versus a 6,000mAh battery inside the iQOO Z9 Turbo. Still, the thickness is the same at 7.98mm. The phone weighs slightly more at 196g, versus the 194.6g iQOO Z9 Turbo.
Another update is the software. The iQOO Z9 Turbo was launched with Origin OS 4 based on Android 14. The iQOO Z9 Turbo Endurance Edition comes with the Origin OS 5 based on Android 15.
And those are all the updates. The iQOO Z9 Turbo Endurance Edition has the same 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. There is the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SOC with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The camera setup is the same too, so the phone has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor for the primary camera with OIS and an 8MP sensor for the ultrawide camera. The selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor.
