Blackshark ‘Skywalker’ spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855

In 2018, apart from the phones with bezel-less designs and multiple cameras, we also saw some gaming-centric phones like the Blackshark Helo, Razer Phone 2, Asus ROG Phone, Nubia Red Magic, etc. This will continue in 2019, and it looks like Xiaomi backed Blackshark is already working on one. The launch might happen soon as the Blackshark Skywalker recently showed up on Geekbench with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

Last year, the Blackshark gaming phone was launched in April, and so, we expect the next Blackshark device to launch in the same month this year. Still, Xiaomi might change its mind and launch the device earlier than expected. The Blackshark Skywalker that was listed on Geekbench has 8GB RAM which is normal for gaming-centric phones. We have phones with 12GB RAM now.

On single core, the phone scored 3,494, but on multi-core, it scored 11,149. This score is similar to the scores of Snapdragon 855 on most of the Geekbench listings.

As always, the Geekbench listing didn’t reveal much except for the name, RAM, the Android version (which is Pie in this case) and the processor. Stay tuned for more updates related to the Blackshark Skywalker.
