Earlier today, we got the renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro & Galaxy S26 Ultra, revealing a slightly different camera module design than the S25 series. As always, everyone is looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra as it is the best smartphone that Samsung releases every year. The main USP of the ‘Ultra’ phones is the camera, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is going to be no different. Today, we got some camera specifications of the S26 Ultra, courtesy of Ice Universe. There are some interesting upgrades versus the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 200MP sensor for the primary camera like its predecessor. But, while the S25 Ultra had an f/1.7 lens for the primary camera, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting an f/1.4 lens. This wider aperture results in a 47% increase in the light intake, so the low-light performance should be better than the S25 Ultra. The ultrawide camera seems to be the same, so it has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture lens. The 3x telephoto camera is getting a new 12MP Samsung S5K3LD sensor versus a 10MP sensor on the S25 Ultra. The pixel size has increased by up to 20% in this new sensor.
Finally, we have the 5x periscope telephoto camera. The Galaxy S25 Ultra had a 50MP sensor for this camera with an f/3.4 aperture lens. The Galaxy S26 Ultra gets an f/2.9 aperture lens for this camera, resulting in a 38% increase in the light intake.
There are no massive upgrades, but these are still welcome changes. Let’s see how good the cameras are when the phone launches next year.
