Recently, the CAD-based renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge were shared online, revealing a big camera module on the rear. As per various sources, Samsung has decided to change the names of its flagship phones, starting next year. The Galaxy S26 & Galaxy S26 Plus are going to be replaced with the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge. There won’t be any change in the ‘Ultra,’ so we are indeed getting a Galaxy S26 Ultra next year. Various leaks and rumors have suggested a slightly different camera module design for the Galaxy S26 series, and today, a couple of renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra confirmed the same.
These images were shared by SmartPrix, and they reveal the rear designs of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra. As we can see, the biggest design change on the rear is that the camera island is making a return, something we last saw on an ‘S’ series flagship device in 2022, when the Galaxy S22 series was launched. This design is identical to what we saw on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Also, we do not have those black rings around the cameras, something the Galaxy S25 series had.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a similar design language, with the only difference being the extra sensors. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also more rounded this time, aligning with the rest of the phone in this series.
As per leaks, the Galaxy S26 Pro is 6.7mm thick and features a 6.27-inch display with slimmer bezels than the Galaxy S25. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 was 7.2mm thick and had a 6.2-inch display. There will be a slight increase in the battery size, with the Galaxy S26 Pro getting a 4,300mAh battery versus 4,000mAh in the S25. The phone should also get 45W wired charging support and Qi2 wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to have a 6.9-inch display with an upgraded anti-reflective glass. The phone is reportedly 7.8mm thick, down from 8.2mm last year. There are reports of a 5,000mAh battery with an upgraded 60W wired charging.
