How to Respond to Positive and Negative Reviews

Published

on

When you run a company or a business, the reviews will always control how much business you get. It doesn’t matter if there is only one bad review compared to dozens of positive reviews, that one review that is bad will bring some people to question the reliability of your business. Luckily, there are ways that you can deal with bad reviews, and encourage positive ones instead.

DON’T IGNORE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS

By ignoring the positive, you are allowing all of the negative reviews to take place in your mind and discourage you during your business decisions. You shouldn’t ignore the negative reviews, but you should take more time to look at the positive reviews.

You should interact with the person leaving the nice review, tell them you appreciate their business and how they took the time to say something nice about your company or brand. This will help encourage more people to leave positive messages.

IF YOU AREN’T SURE HOW TO RESPOND, THERE ARE SERVICES AND PROGRAMS FOR THAT

Whether you are just too busy to respond to every nice thing someone says, or you just don’t know how to say it professionally while still being grateful, you can get a review response service. A review response service will go through and read the review, and give it an automated response.

You can go in and change the response from time to time, but the service does most of the work for you. You can have a message set for the negative reviews, and a message for the nice ones so that everyone is getting a chance to voice their opinions.

RESPONDING TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

This is something that not everyone is willing to do. For one, you might not like reading something mean or negative about something that you have worked so hard for. Or maybe you just don’t want to deal with someone being rude to you for no good reason. But this is exactly why you should respond and listen to what they have to say.

By showing them that you are facing the problem head-on, they will lighten up, and other people who might think about leaving a negative message will see that you are trying your best to improve on the bad parts of your brand or company. Reading and responding to something hateful or negative will never be fun, but by responding, you are encouraging others to not leave mean messages.

THIS IS WHERE THE RESPONSE SERVICE COMES IN AGAIN

If you do not want to read and respond to every negative thing that someone has to say, you can set up the automated response and never have to worry about the issues until you are wondering if there is any place where you can improve on your business.

IF THE NEGATIVE REVIEW IS EXTREME, THERE ARE WAYS TO MAKE IT GO AWAY

You can delete the review if it is posted somewhere on a page that you own. If it is not something you want people to see, whatever the reason may be, you can delete it. But if it is on a site that you can’t control, you can respond to the person so that others will see that you’ve connected with the person who left the review.

When responding to the hateful message, don’t be specific about the name or location of your business. These are considered keywords and will make that review pop up before any of the others.

There are a lot of ways to deal with online reviews, but a response service makes it easy.
