Oppo Reno5 4G specs leaked, coming with Snapdragon 720G

So it looks like not all Reno5 Series phones have 5G support

Oppo Reno5 series is set to launch in China on the 10th of December, so not many days are now left for the launch. The company has already revealed the design of Reno5 & Reno5 Pro on its official website along with some key specs. But, one phone that Oppo hasn’t talked about is the 4G version of the Reno5, i.e., the Oppo Reno5 4G. Well, the specs of that phone leaked on Twitter & these specs suggest that the 4G version retains some of the features of the Oppo Reno4 Pro such as the chipset, the high-refresh-rate screen, Quad cameras etc.

So as per this leak, the Reno5 4G has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SOC which is the same chip that powered the Reno4 Pro which launched in India.  It has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution & 90Hz refresh rate. There are four rear cameras that include a primary 64 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide and two 2MP sensors. There is a 44 Megapixel selfie camera as well, which is impressive! The last time we saw a 44MP camera on a phone by Oppo was in March this year when the Reno3 Pro launched in India. Speaking of the build, the Oppo Reno5 4G has a plastic back panel as well as a plastic frame.

Finally, there is a 4,310mAh battery underneath & the device also supports 50W Fast Charging via the Type-C port.

The reason for the 4G version of the Reno5 could be the launch in markets like India. The Oppo Reno4 Pro launched with a 5G chipset in China, but the company brought the device to India with a 4G SOC. The same could be the case with the Reno5 4G. We don’t have the details regarding the pricing or the availability of the Reno5 4G so stay tuned for that.
