A month ago, OnePlus 11R launched in the Indian market with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The same phone was launched in China as the OnePlus Ace 2. Today, the company launched the OnePlus Ace 2V in China, a cheaper version of the Ace 2 that starts at ¥500 lower than the starting price of the Ace 2. You also get downgrades for a lesser price, such as a less powerful SOC, slower charging, and a downgraded camera.
The OnePlus Ace 2V looks nothing like the Ace 2. The camera arrangement on the rear differs since there are two big circles, one with the primary sensor and the other with ultrawide & macro cameras. The Ace 2V has two flash modules. The phone’s sides are flat, the reason being a flat display. For comparison, the Ace 2 has a curved display & hence, curved sides. The alert slider is on the right & the volume rockers are on the left.
Speaking of the specifications, the OnePlus Ace 2V has a 6.74-inch display with a 2772×1240 pixels resolution, aka a 1.5K resolution. This AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate & 10-bit color depth. The peak brightness of this display is 1450 nits & there is 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SOC, a 4nm chip with the CPU clocked at up to 3.05 GHz. The phone has 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 5,000mAH, and there is 80W fast charging support.
OnePlus Ace 2V has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 64MP sensor without OIS, the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor, and the macro camera has a 2MP sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor. 4K video recording is supported at up to 60fps.
Finally, in the Chinese market, the phone runs on ColorOS 13, based on Android 13.
