The OnePlus 15 was launched in the Chinese market last month with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a massive 7,300mAh battery, a 165Hz display, and three 50MP sensors on the rear. Today, the phone was launched globally, and compared to the OnePlus 13, there are some notable upgrades.

One of the biggest changes versus the OnePlus 13 is the design. The OnePlus 15 looks completely different than the OnePlus 13 from the rear. There is a similar camera module design as the OnePlus 13s, so the phone has a square camera module with three sensors and an LED flash. The company’s partnership with Hasselblad has ended, so there is no Hasselblad branding on the camera module. In fact, apart from the OnePlus logo on the rear, there is no text at all.
On the front, the OnePlus 15 has a flat display with extremely slim 1.15mm bezels on all four sides. This results in an impressive 95.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected with the Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the phone features IP68 + IP69 + IP69K certification.

The OnePlus 15 comes in three colors – Infinite Black, Ultra Violet, and Sand Storm. The Sand Storm variant is slightly lighter at 211g (versus 215g) and slightly thinner at 0.81cm (versus 0.82cm) than the other two variants. Moreover, OnePlus says the Sand Storm variant has a frame hardened using Micro-Arc Oxidation (MAO) process. This results in a frame that is 3.4x tougher than aluminum and 1.3x tougher than titanium.
The phone has stereo speakers, 12wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.
Speaking of the specifications, the OnePlus 15 packs the fastest smartphone chipset in the market, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There is 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra/Ultra+ RAM paired with UFS 4.1 storage. The battery is a massive 7,300mAh unit with 120W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging support. The charger comes in the box.
The display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE X3 LTPO OLED panel with 1800 nits of global peak brightness. There is an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner.
The camera setup on the rear includes a primary 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and OIS support. The ultrawide camera has a 1/2.88″ 50MP Omnivison OV50D sensor with autofocus. The third camera has a telephoto lens and a 1/2.76″ 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS support. There is a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor for the selfie camera with autofocus support. As for the video recording capabilities, there is support for 4K 120fps and 8K 30fps video recording from the rear cameras. The selfie camera can shoot up to 4K 60fps videos. The phone can also shoot 4K 120fps Dolby Vision videos.
OnePlus 15 runs on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
