₹29,999

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro was launched in April last year with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and an IP68 rating. The phone was launched in India for a starting price of ₹31,999. Today, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro was launched in the Indian market, and while the phone brings some big upgrades, the starting price has decreased to ₹29,999.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro

Design-wise, the Edge 60 Pro looks identical to the recently launched Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. There is a triple camera setup on the rear in the top left corner, and the phone features a quad-curved display on the front with minimal bezels. The back has a leather/nylon-inspired texture. The Edge 60 Pro features an IP69 rating in addition to the IP68 rating. On the front, it has the Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

One downgrade from last year is the frame. While the Motorola Edge 50 Pro featured a metal frame, the company went with a plastic frame this year. Finally, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the phone has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

Speaking of the specifications, the chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme, built on the 4nm process. The chipset has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 3.35GHz, and there is a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro featured LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, but the Edge 60 Pro has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro

The battery gets a big upgrade, too. While the Motorola Edge 50 Pro featured a 4,500mAh battery, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has a massive 6,000mAh battery. The phone supports 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. So, while the battery size has increased, the charging speeds have reduced from last year. This is a silicon-carbon battery, and so despite having such a big battery, the thickness is 8.24mm. The phone weighs 186 grams. The 90W adapter comes in the box.

It is worth mentioning that the phone also misses out on the USB 3.1 Type-C port, which the Edge 50 Pro had last year. Instead, the phone has a USB 2.0 Type-C port.

Speaking of the display, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPS pOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 4500 nits peak brightness, and 720Hz PWM dimming. The display has the Aqua touch feature so it is usable with wet hands. There is an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.

In terms of cameras, the phone has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor with an f/1.8 lens and OIS support. The ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor and can shoot macro photos. Finally, there is a 3x telephoto camera with a 10MP sensor and OIS. The phone also has a multispectral 3-in-1 light sensor on the rear. The selfie shooter has a 50MP sensor. There is support for 4K 30fps video recording from all the cameras, including the selfie camera.

Finally, the phone runs on Android 15 out of the box and will get three major OS updates.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has launched in three colors – Pantone Dazzling Blue, Pantone Shadow, and Pantone Sparkling Grape. Here is the pricing for India –

  • 8GB + 256GB – ₹29,999
  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹33,999
