Last month, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo was officially launched in Europe with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and a starting price of €499. The brand is now all set to launch the phone in the Indian market. The launch is scheduled for September 16, and while we have a week left, the Flipkart landing page for the device has already gone live, revealing the key details.
As per the Flipkart page, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo will receive not three or four, but rather five Android OS updates. The phone is launching with Android 14, which means it will get Android updates until Android 19.
As for the rest of the features, we already know that the Edge 50 Neo features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G chipset, a 4,310mAh battery, 68W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, IP68 certification, MIL-STD-810H certification, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a vegan leather finish on the rear.
Unlike other phones under the Motorola Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Neo features a flat display. It is a 6.4-inch LTPO pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2670 x 1220 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits peak brightness, and 10-bit colors.
The triple camera setup on the rear is identical to the Motorola Edge 50. There is a primary 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS, a 13MP sensor for the ultrawide/macro camera, and a 10MP 3X telephoto camera. The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor.
Well, based on the specifications, it will be quite interesting to see at what price the Motorola Edge 50 Neo is launched in the Indian market. It will be priced lower than the Motorola Edge 50, which is currently priced at ₹27,999. It will also be priced higher than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which currently starts at ₹22,999. So, the ideal pricing for the Motorola Edge 50 Neo would be around ₹25,000.
