iQOO 3 launched in India today & in case you don’t know iQOO is a gaming smartphone series from Vivo in China and in India, it will be a separate brand. The latest offering from the brand comes with the Snapdragon 865 SOC, UFS 3.1 storage, 55W fast charging & more, at a starting price of Rs 36,990 in India. This makes it the cheapest Snapdragon 865 powered device currently in the Indian market.
iQOO 3 – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
The phone comes with a punch-hole design on the front with a tony 2.98mm punch-hole for the single selfie shooter placed on the top right corner. iQOO says this is the smallest punch-hole on a smartphone. On the rear, there are Quad cameras placed in a rectangular camera module on the top left corner. Since there is an AMOLED display, the fingerprint scanner is placed under the screen.
The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom & a headphone jack on the top. So unlike the recently launched Realme X50 Pro, this phone doesn’t lack a headphone jack, and that’s not a surprise since it is a gaming-centric device, so a headphone jack is a must!
Talking about the specifications, the iQOO 3 comes with a 6.44-inch E3 SUPER AMOLED Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. While the refresh rate is 60Hz, the touch response rate is 180Hz. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SOC & unlike Realme X50 Pro, the iQOO 3 comes with both 4G and 5G variants. So, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants are only 4G whereas the 12GB + 256GB variant is 5G.
It is also worth mentioning that there is LPDDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage, the latest UFS standard.
The phone comes with a Quad Camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a secondary 13 Megapixel telephoto lens with 2X Optical Zoom, a 13 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. There is a 16 Megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The phone comes with a huge 4,440mAh battery & features 55W Super Flash Charge. The adapter is provided in the box, so that’s a good thing. Finally, iQOO UI based on Android 10 runs out of the box. For better gaming experience, there is Multi Turbo that includes Center Turbo, AI Turbo, ART++ Turbo, Game Turbo, Cooling Turbo & Net Turbo.
There are also Monster Touch buttons on the side, so for PUBG lovers, this is a great feature!
